Refuel Juicery is one of my favourite places to grab a delicious VEGAN wholesome beverage.
They also serve light meals to go. I had the Vegan Pad Thai on Saturday afternoon and it was tasty! My go-to beverage is the "Berry Beauty" containing mixed berries and fresh pressed apple. I cannot rave enough about how amazing you feel when you eat this food! You will see in the pictures below that I took the pad thai home and used my own sauce that I was sure was gluten-free. I meant to ask the friendly staff, but I was too hungry and excited to eat. I also added some tostitoe chips with hummus as a side snack. I was ALIVE and fresh after finishing this meal. That is how food should make you feel! Alive, energized and ready for life adventures!
Follow them on insta @refuel_juicery for up to date drinks available! Nothing photographs more beautifully than fresh PRODUCE from the earth! :)
Check out this awesome little tasty nook! Located at 1633 Bayview Avenue, Toronto.
I try to make it to the North Market at least twice a month or more to grab veggies and fruit for the week.
The North Market is primarily known for its Saturday Farmers' Market, a tradition begun on this site in 1803 and continuing today, as the producers of Southern Ontario bring their seasonal produce to market in the city.
The quality is great and the food is local and delicious. Its a great experience and I truly enjoy knowing that the food I am purchasing is locally grown and helping the farmers in our neighboring cities.
Toronto really has a lot to offer when it comes to purchasing organic, local produce and visiting the St. Lawrence market is just one way of picking up the goods! I think the experience is definitely comforting on a sunny Saturday morning. There is usually local artisans and musicians on the streets outside adding to the wholesome, eclectic vibe and I recommend going to anyone visiting/living in the city.
As for VEGAN options, I really have only stuck to purchasing whole foods in the North Market, as the majority of the small shops in the South Market are novelty shops that contain a lot of processed foods and unfortunately a large selection of meat, dairy products and baked goods (full of dairy, processed sugar and gluten). I must say that I do enjoy walking through the bakery just for the smell of fresh bread though.. mmmm . I need to dig more and find myself some vegan/gluten-free bread, I'm sure they must have it somewhere!
